From June 17 to 20, the Aragonese social organization hosted the Turin cooperative: eight people with intellectual disabilities visited the San José and Parque Goya occupational centers..

Kairos, a social initiative cooperative, has been welcoming members of the Italian entity since yesterday and until June 20. Stranaidea, originally from Turin and with extensive experience in services for people at risk of exclusion and with disabilities, including the “Artemisa” and “Casa di Zenzero” centers. This visit is part of the ERASMUS+ KA1 “Learning Mobilities” initiative., which aims to promote transnational experiences.

On his trip to Zaragoza, eight people with intellectual disabilities arrived from Turin, and accompanied by two support educators, They will experience and learn from the daily activities and work approach of Kairós in their centers, promoting the exchange of good practices and the development of skills.

Members of “Artemisa” and “Casa di Zenzero” They will learn firsthand about the San José Occupational Center and will participate in activities dedicated to cognitive accessibility, attend a theatrical performance, or take part in a Spanish cooking workshop. They will also visit the Parque Goya Occupational Center and will attend the end-of-year festival of the Kambalache Leisure CenterAs a farewell, they will make a cultural visit to the Aljafería Palace.

This program of activities, called “Kairós-Stranaidea Learning Exchange: A European Bridge for Inclusion”, underscores the commitment of both organizations to the social inclusion of people with disabilities at the European level and emphasizes the value of transnational experiences for the personal development and empowerment of participants. It also highlights how these types of projects contribute to a more inclusive and diversity-conscious society and help participants acquire new skills.

Erasmus+ KA1 programs, also known as "Learning Mobility of Individuals," are a key initiative within the European Union's Erasmus+ program. Their main objective is to provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to acquire knowledge, skills, and experiences. through transnational mobility.

Kairós, a social initiative cooperative that will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026, works on projects dedicated to children, youth, and families, develops social and employment initiatives in collaboration with public and private institutions and partner companies, and manages social housing programs and individual intervention plans. In the area of disability and dependency, Kairós has a Day Center and Occupational Center, an Adult Classroom, a Kentrikes Special Employment Center, a Special Education School Space Integration Project (PIEE), independent apartments, and a Kambalache Leisure Center.

Stranaidea, for its part, has been supporting people with disabilities (minors, youth, families, and adults) for over 38 years, also working on job placement projects for people at risk of social exclusion. Focusing on the uniqueness of individuals and promoting their active participation and autonomy, the organization operates in Piedmont, primarily in the city of Turin, but also in the Lanzo and Canavese valleys, and works in a network with other national and international organizations.
