Kairós assumes the vice-presidency of the Ethics Committee in Social Care in Aragón.

Last May 30, the Committee of Ethics in Social Care in Aragon was constituted, promoted with a decree of 2018. The presidency has fallen to Joaquín Santos, who has worked as a social worker within the Public Social Services System of Aragon for years and in various positions of responsibility, such as the Management of the Aragonese Institute of Social Services, among others. For his part, Gregorio Centro has been appointed vice-president of the Committee in representation of the social entities.
At this stage, the Committee gains strength and is structured as a collegiate body of a consultative nature that will report to the Department of Social Welfare and Family. Its role will be to form a multidisciplinary and independent forum for quality decision-making and will be at the service of the Social Services system of the Autonomous Community of Aragon.
The objectives of the Committee on Ethics in Social Care in Aragon are focused on raising awareness among the staff of Social Services services, centers and entities on the ethical dimension of the practice they develop, and on ensuring that the services and care provided do not violate the right of users to be respected.
Several professionals and positions from the Aragonese Institute of Social Services, the General Directorate of Family, Childhood and Birth, within the Department of Social Welfare and Family, as well as from the General Technical Secretariat of the Department, are members of this Committee as members; The Aragonese Women's Institute, the Bioethics Committee of Aragon, the University of Saragossa, the Professional Association of Social Work, the Official Association of Psychologists of Aragon, the Association of Social Educators of Aragon and various members of the Aragonese Network of Social Entities for Inclusion are also represented. Another member is also a member of the Interadministrative Council of Social Services, a permanent body for administrative coordination between the Administration of the Autonomous Community and local entities.
Gregorio Centro, as vice-president and manager of Kairós, assumes the responsibility and commitment to put on the table all the aspects that can be a bet for improvement both for the Social Entities for Inclusion and for all the users of Social Services in the Community.
