There was a long round of applause for the 13 artists who took the stage yesterday at the Teodoro Sánchez Civic Center, during an event that celebrated diverse talent and inclusion.

This Wednesday, the festival Rapsivo Y+, presented by the Kambalache Leisure Center in Kairós, held its fourth edition at the Sánchez Punter Civic Center. It was a cultural event in which inclusive talent took center stage. The event brought together 13 artists On stage: people with and without disabilities showcased their talents in rap, singing, live music, and dance.

Rapsivo Y+ has established itself as a safe, respectful, and free space where everyone, regardless of age, experience, or background, can participate and showcase their talent. For this edition, building on the success of previous years, the festival remained rooted in rap and urban culture but expanded its focus to include other artistic expressions.

“It has been a very dynamic event, and the atmosphere among the artists has been wonderful, with a lot of mutual support. In addition, there has been a good balance between people with and without disabilities, something that is very much in line with our goal of being an inclusive festival”, says Ana Martínez, inclusive recreation coordinator at Kairós.

The festival, organized by Kairós in collaboration with Harinera ZGZ and the Zaragoza City Council, aims to encourage the public to enjoy an afternoon of talent without barriers. At this event, the organizers once again enjoyed the warm reception of the crowd that packed the Sánchez Punter venue and enthusiastically applauded the various performances by the artists. “There were more attendees than in previous years, including both the artists’ guests and the general public,” said Martínez.

The event featured the wit and humor of  Javier Abenia and Raúl Tomás, who have hosted this successful event since its inception. “They made it a lot of fun, thanks to the way they interacted with the audience and the artists. They created the story of an imaginary artist, did some freestyle… So everyone has commented on how dynamic their performance was,” she adds.

The festival also took the opportunity to unveil its new look, created by the artist Tito.erreape, and a video was shown depicting the creative process behind Rapsivo Y+'s revamped brand identity.

Wednesday’s event was the highlight of Rapsivo Y+, but the festival is much more than just a single day: participants rehearsed for weeks to take the stage, in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The festival was launched on February 24 at Harinera ZGZ, where rehearsals also took place on February 26 and March 12 and 19.

The team already has its sights set on its 2027 edition, always with the goal of being a space open to everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience, using art as a tool for inclusion.
