Kairós launches a new volunteer recruitment campaign with the slogan "Share your energy, join Kairós! With this action, the entity seeks to strengthen the participation of citizens in its different areas of action: childhood, disability, employment, housing, education and social inclusion.
The objective is to invite people of all ages and profiles to dedicate part of their time to collaborate in projects that generate a positive impact on the community and promote real inclusion.
The campaign starts with a special focus on the Kambalache Leisure Center of Kairós, which organizes weekend outings, creative workshops and a sports school for young people and adults with functional diversity. Volunteers provide support, enthusiasm and energy, while at the same time they receive an experience of personal and community growth.

An open call to citizenship
In 2024 Kambalache had 35 volunteers, and in 2025 it expects to beat a new record of collaborators willing to share their time and join the various initiatives promoted by Kairos. "No matter the age, studies or experience: the important thing is the desire to share and participate", emphasize from the volunteer coordinating team.
In the area of disability and dependency, Kairós works with children, young people and adults with different degrees of intellectual disability and their families, with support in the fields of training, occupational and labor, leisure and free time. It has a Day and Occupational Center, Adult Classroom, Kentrikes Special Employment Center, Integration Project of Special Education School Spaces (PIEE), Autonomy Apartments and Kambalache Leisure Center.
Kairós always works from a methodology of Person Centered Care, adapting its support to the individual needs and preferences of each person, seeking to maximize the quality of life and autonomy of the participants, and promoting their social inclusion.
In addition to its programs for people with disabilities, Kairós collaborates on social and employment initiatives for people of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances. With more than two decades of experience, the organization has built a network of inclusive projects covering education, employment, housing, and leisure, with the motto "We work for, by, and with people."
